Simon Ward holds UK CAA and Transport Canada Commercial Helicopter Pilot Licences. 

He has extensive year-round mountain flying experience in Western Canada and successfully completed the BC Forestry Service Mountain Course in 2015. Having worked throughout the UK and Ireland, he is familiar with helicopter operations in a broad range of environments, both urban and remote. 

Specialising in Helicopter External Sling Load Operations (HESLO), his skillset includes precision lifts, aerial construction and tasks using long lines up to 200ft in length. 

With a specific interest in human factors and ergonomics, Simon attended Global Air Training's CAA / EASA recognised Crew Resource Management (CRM) Trainer course in 2026.
